1997 Grand Cherokee no start after collision

I have a 1997 GC that was rear ended. After collisssion repair the car won't start. There is no fuel pressure. Is there an inertia switch on this vehicle? Any other ideas?

Pop the fuel door and put your ear to the fill hole. Have someone turn the ignition key to on. Don't engage the starter. Just on.

When they turn it on does the fuel pump run for about 1 or 2 seconds?

Was the tank dropped to fix the damage? Did they reconnect power to the fuel pump? Hopefully it hasn't crapped out on you because you got hit.

I can't hear the pump engage. I can hear the relays up front however. Someone suggested the crank sensor. Would that keep the fuel pump from turning on. Also I noticed a relay labeled automatic disconnect switch. Would a rear end collision damege that?

My understanding of the engine start process would rule out the crank sensor.

If at key on you do NOT hear that pump do it's initial start up AND you report no fuel pressure to the rail I think you need to be looking at the fuel pump.

In the scheme of things the engine has not yet begun to spin and the crank sensor is a hall effect device that rely's on the flywheel going round to do it's thing.

If you heard the pump. had fuel pressure, and were cranking and had no check engine light I would say yeah crank sensor.

But you have no fuel pressure, don't hear the pump, and had a rear end collision.

Seriously though, if you had rear end body work done they probably dropped the tank. I would want to be absolutely sure they plugged the power back in to the pump.
