2004 Lumina Headers

Hi All

What make of Headers is considered best for 2004 Lumina, and where do I buy them?

Re: 2004 Lumina Headers

Where are you from? We haven't had a Lumina here since 2001.

You got the Holden-based V8 RWD or something? If so, I hate you...

WRONG!! I believe that the last production year for the lumina (USA) was 2001. If I remember correctly, TBLAKE has a 2001 lumina.

LUMINA2004, could we have a photo of that lumina????

I'll post a photo if some expalins in laymans language how to do that. Please send instructions direct to: [email protected]

BTW i have tried the web site http://www.holdenperformance.co.nz/
and on ever search I did for any part, from Brakes, Suspension, Engine parts, Headers, etc. etc. it came up "No Parts Found" it almost seems that they do not sell Holden parts at all?

The 2004 5,7lt motor I would think is the same as the 2000/2001 variety, so maybe headers for those year models may fit the 2004, does anyone know for sure?

Re: 2004 Lumina Headers

If it's a 5.7l v8, it's probably the GM LS-1, right? If so, I'd imagine you could just buy headers from a GTO?

As far as i am aware it is the LS-1 motor, however whilst the headers made up for a LS-1 motor for a specific car may not fit the Lumina as far as clearing various engine parts and chassis etc, what are your thoughts?

Re: 2004 Lumina Headers

I'm not sure, but the chassis looks extremely similar to that of a US GTO, as long as I was looking at the correct vehicle. It was definitely just a thought - I can't be sure. But hey, you could always ship them back, right?

Re: 2004 Lumina Headers

Sorry, I noticed that too after trying to look around on that site...the don't seem to really have their shit together, huh? That was just the first one that popped up when I searched...

Like dwalmop says, I too suspect the GTO stuff would work, but I'd be wary of differences due to emissions systems that your model may not be comparable to ours...I know the Aussie Holdens are very different in many respects because of that...

I know the stuff is out there, because it's a popular car in Arab countries, so I'm sure there's an aftermarket performance market for it...finding it may prove challenging...

Your best bet if you hit a brick wall might be to email Holden AU directly and ask them if they can tell you anything....

I'm still curious, where you live, is it badged as a Chevrolet?

Here's a link that actually has performance parts for LS-1 Holdens...maybe see what they can tell you...

http://www.capa.com.au/ls1_engine.htm

I'll keep looking in the meantime...
