Thermostat on 2000 GA with 2.4

I read on here where its located but not quite understanding it. Does anyone have any pics of where its located? I am wondering if I can change it using ramps and not having to take it to the shop. Is it a PITA to change without a lift?

The shop is wanting roughly $180 for a coolant flush and thermostat change. I'd like to save $100-$120 by doing the job myself if its not a huge hassle.

Yes the thermostat is barried under the pass side of the engine.
If you can get it onto ramps without hitting you front bumper you might be able to get to it.

Thier are two nuts on either side of the thermostat housing, you will need a longer extension for this.
And thier should be on bolt/nut holding the pipe to the oil pan. Pretty sure both of them are 8 or 10mm.
The whole pipe will drop down so watch out for coolant splashin in your eyes

hope that helps.
