Is it right or wrong?

I heard that removing catalytic converter makes fit run faster. Is that right or wrong? Is it safe to remove this thing, especially for all the sensors like oxygen?

Anyway, what kind of replacement for this catalytic? Thanks in advance.

Re: Is it right or wrong?

removing your cat will free up power, but its also illegal.... as it makes your car pollute more. Is it worth it for a daily driver.. i dont think so... you can get a high flow cat, which will also free up power and is legal. if you have an ODBII car, you will throw a CEL if you remove the cat and not get a o2 sensore simulator.

Re: Is it right or wrong?

So many do it, when I was young i did. My bike doesn't have a cat no more. It is a federal crime but that doesn't seem to matter to most.

P.S. If you are OBD2 and california beware of aftermarket(1996 and later)
