Re: how much?

If you have someone do it, it could wind up costing up to $1,000. Is it worth it? What kind of car do you have?

Re: how much?

I'm having trouble with EBAY right now. However, by looking at the URL, these are 8.5" parts. Better make sure that's what you have, everything that's not 9C1 or a wagon in 1993 has a 7.5" rear axle.

You also can't simply replace these yourself without going through the entire setup process. Believe me, it takes a STRONG wrench and a STRONG ARM to set the crush sleeve. But it MUST be done if you want those gears to live. You also have to check the way the gears mesh using a dye and other things to ensure proper preload. You must have the right shims. It takes an EXPERIENCED guy hours to get one of these right.
