PIONEER DEH-p6000 cd won't eject

does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem? I know its an old deck -- but its still in great condition -- just won't let me eject - i can drop the face plate down 1/4 inch and the power cuts off and it wont let me eject -- anyone know ? Thanks!

there should be a reset button on or behind the front face plate, also if it's a removable face - take the face off and clean the gold contacts on the main unit and the face with an eraser.

I am not sure what you mean by putting the face plate down 1/4 of the way. Is this one of those tilt face things ?

mine flips down to eject the cd ..... another one I would have to see, but if reseting it or cleaning the contacts doesn't help then you will most likely have to have it repaired
