Engine Temp & Wiper Issue

My '00 GT has recently had a coolant flush & thermostat change. Since I bought the car, I noticed that the temp gauge goes above the 1/2 way mark (I forget the actual temp) when driving in the city. Today, as hot as it was, I had the AC running & the temp went up to about 3 marks away from the RED ZONE. I was waiting for the needle to keep climbing into the RED but it never did. Is this normal?

As for my wipers, all of the speeds work, but the wipers studder when in motion, kind of like their jumping across the windshield (real annoying). When the wipers are turned off, the tip of my passenger side wiper blade hangs off the glass about 3 inches. Any ideas?

Re: Engine Temp & Wiper Issue

You need to be sure that the fans come on as the temp approaches the red. As long as they do, and it stays below the red, you're fine. If the temp was in the 90's and you were sitting in traffic, then what you describe is completely normal.

Re: Engine Temp & Wiper Issue

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.

I was concerned because I never owned or driven a vehicle that had such a normal temp reading.
