1998 Ford Escort has officially been named Christine

Hope someone can help.
First, struggling with this car. Had to use the extended warranty to have a rebuilt engine put in. The piston rods gave out at 134,000
Now that I got the car back, things have been going wrongrunaround
1. Someone at one point put in a remote entry system. Well, today I locked the door with the remote and the horn came on and wouldnt turn off. I had to take out the fuse.
2. The check engine light came on found out it is the oxygen sensor. Now have to get that taken care of. It is probably the original sensor.
They still have to fix the A/C on it, but I need to use the car. They will set me up to take it in for the A/C.
3. The fan stays on sometimes after the car is off. I used to own a 1999 escort a few years back, but I dont remember it doing that. Is is normal for the fan to stay on after the engine shuts off. I know some import cars do that, but not sure about a 1998 escort
The car kinda hesitates a bit and seems like it wants to stall at stops when you first drive it the first 5 minutes. after that, it runs great.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh the insanity......................

mine hesitates only once in a great while, I think it is the automatic transmisson but not sure. I have about 178,000 miles on mine and still goin strong, would't exactly call mine "Christine". I think you just need a good mechanic who knows how to fix these things right the first time.
