Re: car wont start.

I would recommend to inspect all fuses under the hood and under the driver side dash. Check also your spark plugs and distributor. Thats just the basic check ups that might get your car started.

Now the next two might be where you start looking to replace the Alternator and the Starter. I think you can take them to a auto part store and have them run a check up on them. They will give you a diagnostic on the parts if they are still functional or not. In case these parts are bad you can take them in as core parts and they give you a slight discount towards your new parts purchase. good luck

i have the same problem with my crx. I replaced the starter and it still will not turn over. Jumper wires dont help, but i can push start the car though. Im going to replace the main relay maybe thats it. Good luck on urs.

Re: car wont start.

First four posts, all to threads at least a year old...

Not to mention that all your posts start with "Same thing happened to my CRX." or some similar line... I'm starting to think maybe you should get your car checked by a professional.

And read the forum rules.

doubt that it is your main relay cause it controlls the ignition and fuel pump. Since you can push start thats not it. save your maoney.
As for the OP's issue as well as yours: it may be as simple as a main fuse but more likely a bad/misadjusted switch (neutral safrty switch for manual or "park" switch (bain fart cant remember what it is call) in autos). then there is the ignition switch....start there and check for power

Edit: LOL damn didnt l;ook at the date

It's not research when there are only 4 posts... and I can check what you've posted from your profile.

Re: car wont start.

and, as far as the issue with my car, MY battery needed water. Yes, i changed the starter and main relay with out testing them correctly, but this will serve as info for others. I mean about checking the fluid levels on the battery.(i know its an old thread now) "my bad."

Re: car wont start.

What the hell, I guess I'll fall on this one too...

Checking your battery's water supply is an important step in maintaining your ride... however, if you have a battery that isn't serviceable, don't try breaking the seal on the vent... you might end up with a face full of acid.

Just for a note, adding to what meadvalleylocal1 said.
