Customer Build: 1957 Chevy
Alright well I'm building two kits for a friend of my dad's. They're getting me to build them for August 6th. The customer's kid had an attempt at building both the kits (1957 Chevy, and 1955 Chevy Pickup) and he painted the bodies with a brush, glued the motors together with out painting them etc* and now I have to go back through the kits and rebuild them.
Last night I took apart the supercharged 409 that will be going into the 57, and repainted it etc and put it back together. I also painted the interior shell and managed to spill half the testors black paint all over my table, luckly it didn't spill onto the floor, only to my leg. Anyways, here's some pictures of the shell that the kid painted, and the motors: ![]() ![]() This is the stock motor: ![]() and this is the supercharged 409 ![]() And here's the motor after last night ![]() and the interior/seats so far: ![]() Both the kits are Due August 6th :o |

If you have any suggestions on what I should do, color scheme or anything, please tell me. Would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Customer Build: 1957 Chevy
maybe keep the color scheme for that red/white one and just make it look better. Wow...I haven't seen a model that bad before lol. It's all good though we all start somewhere

Re: Customer Build: 1957 Chevy
I was thinking of doing the car in charcoal with orange accents in the interior (like on the dash etc), but i'm not fully sure of what I should do?
