trouble starting a new Ram Jet engine

I put in a ram jet engine into a 91 camaro and am having trouble getting it started. I think I have everything connected right but there is no spark coming out the ignition coil. I checked all of the grounds and they seem to be installed correctly. I checked the wire from the "ignition source" which I have hooked up to the ecm fuse because it doesnt have power until the key is in the start position. all the wires are hooked up in the back of the distributor except that there was an extra wire that goes to the coil which was already supplied with the harness. I thought that was weird. With the key in start their doesnt seem to be any power supplied to the fuel pump although I have the fuel pump hooked up with the cars interior computer. Has anyone ever installed a ram jet engine and encountered a similar problem? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
