1994 Ford F150 stall intermittently

1994 Ford F150, 207K, 302 c.i. suddenly becomes sluggish, sputters and then stalls. When I switch the fuel tanks, I can drive a few miles further before it dies completely and unable to restart. Temp guage is normal. Tanks are full. Will happen under normal or stresed driving. I live drive in Colorado and drive between 5000 to 8500 feet elevation.. I changed out the module with no success. Only solution is let it set for 30 minutes and disconnect and reconntect the battery cable. Runs fine before and after. May not reoccur for months. What is happening? How can I fix it permenantly? Thanks Jerry.
