registering on teamswift.net

I'm trying to post some of my Metro issues on the teamswift.net website. I went through the registration process and now I wait for administrator approval. It's supposed to come via e-mail, but its been about 4 days and no word. Has anyone else had issues with the teamswift website?

Re: registering on teamswift.net

The longest it took me to get an admin email was 10 days from another forum. The fact that there are two of you with the same problem probably means the admin is occupied at the moment.

Good things come to those who wait.

PS: I waited an hour the other day at a DMV in Newport, Vt, a city of about 5000. I'm still waiting for the good thing.

Re: registering on teamswift.net

I just got the following email regarding my registration:

Hallo sbiddle,

Your account on "TeamSwift" has been removed by a administrator, this is done according to the site account policy probably due to inactivity.

If you wish to be a active part of our comunity again, then please re-register using this link:
http://www.teamswift.net/profile.php?mode=register

Thanks, The Management

I replied with a question of why this is happening but I don't suspect I'm an isolated case.

Re: registering on teamswift.net

I sent a message to one of the admins there and here is the reply I got:

Quote:
If the profiles aren't filled out, or the users are from AOL the accounts are deleted due to all the problems we've had with spam
Hope this helps

I don't think that's the issue here, but just in case, I've re-registered and filled out all the fields. I don't use AOL either. I hope this works. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the help!

Re: registering on teamswift.net

No problem friend.

I sent a link to this page in that message but judging from the reply, I'm not sure the admin looked at your specific case.

Keep trying though. There's plenty of help here but hey, the more the merrier.

Ah, come on guys! What email domain did you use? That is the problem with the teamswift.net forum and the million dollar question at hand. The teamswift.net forum automatically blocks AOL, AIM, hotmail, & my ISP's mail domain: RR (Road Runner). It has absolutely nothing to do with the "profile" because I have tried everything I can think of. As per the profile, how do you fill it out if you can not log in? If they are talking about filling out all the questions when you register, well I did that!

I have not yet been able to find an alternative email domain to use for registering with this forum. The problem, as previously stated, is the email domain that is used when attempting to register. This forum robotically rejects about 95% of all new accounts. I know this from looking at the list of new members and seeing the new accounts being flushed from the system. I have been watching this phenomenon for several months. It is plainly obvious that the teamswift forum is completely ridiculous with thier spam controls!

I apologize to all who read this. No disrespect intended. I am highly aggravated with my repetitive failed attempts to join the teamswift forum and I am at my wits end!

Thank you in advance for any help provided. Sincerely, Shimaze

Re: registering on teamswift.net

Can't wait to see how long this thread lasts. HA! The MODs must be getting lazy about their censorship duties. Pft. Or maybe they don't care because they know we can't register there anyhow!!

Yeah I've had the same problem with teamswift. F'em.

Re: registering on teamswift.net

Hmm, I don't see why it shouldn't last at least for a while. I've seen reference made to teamswift before. I like to think the forums are complementary to each other. opcorn:

Shimaze check your pm. Let us know how it goes.

Re: registering on teamswift.net

I have contacted the mod several times and I gotten several replies. He has said that my @cinci.rr.com, @aol.com, @aim, @gmail, & @hotmail.com are all blocked. I have asked the mod what email address I can use and I have not recieved a reply. If I knew of an email domain that someone used to registar, then I could try to get an account on that domain. This issue is getting critical becuase I am about to do the rebuild on the trans & replace the clutch on my '96 Geo and I would like to ask some questions and get answers. Thanks, Shimaze

Re: registering on teamswift.net

Hi Shimaze,

I registered there using my Hotmail account and that's where I get my notifications from the forum so I don't understand why it's blocked.

Perhaps you could try a Yahoo account? It may be that you'll have to try again and again but that's probably what you've been doing.

Re: registering on teamswift.net

Well, I tried the Yahoo! account. We'll have to wait & see. I am keeping my fingers crossed and saying my prayers. Maybe the teamswift gods will bless me :-)
