I keep on thinking about selling mine and buying a S13 Silvia or Sileighty, but I never quite get the guts to put it up for sale.

Best offer I've had (unsolicited) was Au$14K - but still not enough for the 180SX and S13 nosecone together

Yeah, but 220k and I know how it was driven! :finger:
There is also the issue of non standard parts now on it, which lowers the value of it. :finger: :finger: :finger:

I might be able to manage $8k if I get a loan. Just give me first right of refusal if you sell. Love the new mags BTW. THey luck fucking pisser!

Ah but Oz, you have to remember that even with 220K on it, the engine is still sweet, no oil drops, minimal burning of oil (usually only happens when I'm on the loud pedal) and finally, if you can find any B16/18 that has not been driven hard then you're doing better than I can. That's how they are designed to be driven and mine is better than a lot of ITR's that have half the milage on them

Aftermarket? A strut brace - JDM - Spoon even, off an EF8 CRX. Air filter? It's not a pod, it's an insert as you cant get factory inserts here Suspension - slightly firmer, but new. Wheels - genuine Honda.

Most importantly, it's a SiR - it's called supply and demand. A lot of demand and fuck all supply EF8s are easier to find (sort of), but not Ef9s. I have yet to ask for offers for it, but offers have been made. Go figure

I'll let you know, but will let you know that if it does go, it will be 13,000+

About the same, but who wants a car they know to be certainly thrashed? Same reason I wouldn't buy RX7 from Steve.

BTW - wait till you see the wheels up close - they aren't so crash hot. Gotta take them in to get the scrapes and kerb damage taken out of them, then they'll look sweet

$1650 for a front cut. Whats the go with these? Are they reliable? I guess you've obvously gotta find one thats got low k's and then sort out any possible damage yeah? BUT, its a shit-load cheaper than buying the parts seperate. Are they worth looking at?

Oz you seem to assume that people would offer to you their car first if they were selling

As for steve's car...it doesn't get driven very often, and is usually in the garage in parts... only time it has been driven in the last few months was a couple of 1/4 mile runs.

For an Ef9 or EF8 front cut? That sounds awful cheap to me. Last I looked they were closer to 2500. A ZC Si front cut was about 1800 as I recollect.

Pros, you get all the running gear you need, gearbox, driveshaft, ECU, sensors, bonnet and radiator support (very important, otherwise you look like the wanker with a show "EF8 SIR" - badges by Carmate - who had to cut a square in his Si bonnet to clear the taller B16A).

Cons - the engine mounts and crossmembers in the EF8/9 front cut will be useles, the SiRs were radically different in engine bay design from the firewall forward. Nothing will fit into an ED (Aussie GL 4G or Si 2G CRX).

You also have to make sure you get all the parts and not get ripped off... don't you chuck?

1600 is about right for a FC. I paid that for my SECOND one. BTW the "business" that sold me my first FC has had it's business licence revoked. WOW I wonder who caused that to happen

If I was u, I would ONLY do a conversion if I had a COMPLETE FC. (Once bitten, twice shy)

EDIT: I hope you are not looking at a certain QLD company to deal with...
