Cargo van turned camper
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone here would have any ideas on how to turn a 3/4 or 1 ton cargo van into a "camper van" (similar to a Westfalia VW Vanagon type thing.) I'm sure an average joe could do something like that, but how would a person get started?
My guess is building a frame out of 2x4's along the inside back walls, and locking all four sides together and anchoring it to the floor so it doesn't move. Any ideas? There has to be a "poor mans way" of turning a van into a camper, I don't feel like shelling out $25,000...
Has anyone ever done anything like this before?
