'04 Coolant Smell

Has anyone else experienced a coolant smell coming from the engine compartment. As far as I can tell, as long as the temp guage goes to normal I can smell coolant from the engine compartment. I don't even have to open the hood. After really long hot trips I can smell it through the open windows. I've never had to add antifreeze and the level looks normal, although it's close to the min mark when warm. I'm pretty sure it has gone down some over the past 50k miles, but not much. I had it in the shop once for this and I was told there was no problem. Although I don't remember them recognizing that they understood what I was talking about. I have not noticed any performance problems. I'm just getting nervous as it seems to be getting stronger and I'm nearing the end of my warranty.
Thanks, Bill

When I have had this problem in other cars (non Aveo) it was a heater core leak. But I also had coolent drip on the inside once it got bad enough.
