Re: exahust on a firebird...

Well, I don't know any specific brands for a V6, but I know Magnaflow makes a V6 catback. But its not very loud. Its a mellow idle with some bite at WOT. I know the SLP Loudmouth had been adapted for the V6, and it has a mean sound. But its difficult to get the V8 rumble out of a V6. If worse comes to worse, weld up a cutout to your I-pipe. (PS, I just got back from a bonfire, and I am hammered.)

Re: exahust on a firebird...

If I may, you better run that loud exhaust part those who live with and around you. I'm about to file a complaint on aomeone who lives in my own house that wakes me up early every morning and I've had enough.

Also, their car was louder before and once received 3 citations in one night for it.

That said, I'm all for a good tone. But, there's ones that are nice and toned at idle, then bark at throttle, that's my preference, keeps everybody happy

Re: exahust on a firebird...

ill tell u what just dont get blowmasters! it sounds like ass on 4th gen v6's. if u want loud, u will have to dump it....but running dumps arent legal...now if u live in florida u can get away with it all day long. other than that u will get a crackle sound when u arent on the gas, and a weird sound at throttle in low gear....they sound nice when standing still at idle though! if u wanta nice sound for that car it will cost u a good penny...borla!!
