YZR-M1 Spiderman question

Hi guys,
I want to start to paint the spiderman bike but I don't want to go to fast do something bad.
I took a look to a picture with the pieces painted, but there is a couple of pieces in this picture that I don't know what they do.
- The pieces A17 and A18, they are painted blue, but I didn't see them anywhere in the Tamiya manual. I am blind?
- The pieces I had circled in green, someone can tell me what those pieces are? I don't see them on the sprues. Someone know what number they are supposed to be?
- Also, for painting, do I need to apply white primer, mask the part the must be blue, paint the rest red, then mask the red and paint the rest blue? Because only the masks for the red area are provided in the Crazy Modeler kits
- Last question, how do you remove the crack between the two parts of the inner cowl? Do you glue them together, then put some putty?

Thanks a lot!

Re: YZR-M1 Spiderman question

hi there.
now the parts you are talking about a17 and a 18 there for the front forks they go on the side of the forks. Now the other parts they go on the side of the frame right on the upper part of the frame. if your going by these pics dont, the red is to dark you need to use a brighter red than that say Tamiya TS 36 fluro red. I have posted some pics of reference that i used to do my bike. hope i was helpful if u need any more help just send me a message glad to help.

heres a few pics of my bike

Re: YZR-M1 Spiderman question

Thanks, now I see where A17 and A18 should go. But for the two other one, I really don't see them anywhere. Can I see them clearly on your one of your pictures? I look at all the pieces and I got no one looking like them.

For the colors, I use a kit that Zero Paint produces, so the colors should be pretty close to the real thing. When you paint your kit, which look really good by the way, did you paint the red, then paint the blue over the red after or you did both colors on a white primer surface?

Thanks!
