23R at Mt Tremblant

After being displayed in Montreal during GP weekend, 17R made an appearance on track this weekend at Mt Tremblant. The track is owned by Lawrence Stroll.

Pictures here:

Actually looks like 23R that KS had for sale for a while. Thanks for the link.

Re: 17R at Mt Tremblant

You are absolutely right. As 17R was here recently, I figured it could only be the same car...

Seing the rumour about Stroll's latest toy in the Modena thread, I guess that the car being on track in Tremblant does confirm who the new owner is.

Re: 17R at Mt Tremblant

I can see where most could confuse the two. Both are in the BMW Motorsport FINA liveries and it's not too often you see two separate ones!

The easiest way to tell the difference is whether or not it's a longtail or shorttail. Longtail GTRs are from chassis #19R to 28R.

23R:

17R:

Please let us know if anymore pictures show up from that event. Thanks again. Btw, I think Stroll bought 21R, which wears the #8 Fina livery whereas this one is the #9. I can't remember clearly, but the one in the Fchat link is 23R.

Re: 17R at Mt Tremblant

Yeah, dunno how I could miss that the Tremblant car was a Longtail...The american flag livery on 17R also makes it quite easy to recognize...

It would really be quite a coincidence if 23R showed up at Tremblant when Stroll bought 21R but I have no source to confirm what chassis did LS bought. Also in the Modena thread, Hurstg01 was saying that Petler Glaesel bought 21R... Anyways, there is an event at the track this coming weekend (Sommet des légendes); I won't be there but if the car does, more pics are likely to show up with a bit more information too.

More have surfaced, I love these 3 shots

Shot 1 could go in the 'rear ends' thread , shot 2 is my new wallpaper, and shot 3 just screams "BIG HEAD, BIG HEAD"

Ace pics Greg

Put "tremblant" in flickr.com and scroll through several pages of thumbnails, you will find another dozen more high res pics

Re: 17R at Mt Tremblant

I guess the fact that the flickr pictures show people from Ferrari of Quebec (owned by Stroll) taking care of the car can be interpreted as confirming who the new owner is.

Great photos. I love the angle on this one and the plexi side window reflection. Looks very video-gameish. That's how outrageous and awesome the car looks!

Excellent, ti-fosi finally got them up on his site; I had visited it (IIRC) Tues / Weds last week and there was nothing there yet

Good shots
