crv vtec
i made a recent post about doing a b20 swap and putting a vtec head on it but im wondering if anyone knows of any websites or places where i can buy a b20 block thats already been converted to vtec. i looked on ebay and the only ones i could find were already in cars that were pricey. i love my 89 hatch and want to make it a beast.

Re: crv vtec
the only problem with that idea is that your buying an engine that isn't in a car and you won't really have an idea of the way it runs. The involved work needed to properly mate the head to the b20 block require a lot of research and tuning once the engine building is done. Your best trying to find an engine thats mounted in a beater. that way you can make sure whoever built it didn't screw something up. I don't think many reputable places would sell such an engine with the ecu, linkage, mounts, axles, spindles, conversion harness all in one purchase. Do a search though, I couldn't come across anything. Most import shops that sell swaps don't sell hybrid engines
