Question RB20 vs SR20

Im leaning towards an RB rather than an SR. is their any reason I should stick to the SR? how far can you boost a stock RB20? as far as installation how intricate is the installation of an RB20 into an S14(in terms of custom modifications rather than just bolting in an SR)?

I know some of you have first hand experience with installing RB20's so i hope I can get some input. thanks.

Hey,

I heard from the Unstable Hybrids (www.unstable-hybrids.com) guys that the RB20DET is about a 7 out of 10 in terms of how hard and the SR20DET is about a 5...so it's a lil harder...but it's supposed to be stronger, better, and cheaper

Im kinda interested in rb series swaps too, kind of a throw up on what I really want to do...... Im sure with the tools I have access to and the help both jobs could be done about the same. Has anyone made a new intake plenum for the RB's that can use a side to side FMIC instead of that plenum that runs over the head.

I actually live in the dunedin/clearwater area which is VERY close to Tampa. I wish I had some connections with people in my area who have real know how, because if I want to do any mods I have to pay top dollar for a shop to do it. especially since some guy in tampa has an S13 with a blown engine which is supposed to be in otherwise good shape asking 700 - Id talk him down and buy and RB but Im not dropping a couple G's on the install. I have most of the knowledge i just lack hands on experience and dont want to fuck anything up.
