Hey ive been doing hard research for 2 weeks as to buying my first car .. you have prolly seen my many post looking for help infact i think i have 2 in here already haha... anyway i am wwwaaayyy overwealmed with the options that i have.

anyone who reads this please post at least one option i have for a sports sedan, coupe, anything sporty, great/horrable so i can see them all
pretend you dont know what i want out of the car, and pretend i have no budget

i want to see all my options layed out infront of me, i think this will really help me and anyone else looking at cars just to see the options and then pick the best instead of looking and missing a "perfect" fit

Consider a Golf or GTI for compact area. Another option is the Hyundai Tiburon, but they are only so so cars, well, maybe except the new one. Midsize sedan perhaps a Nissan Maxima. I hate Fords, but a Contour SVT or a Taurus SHO is an option too. Maybe a mid 90s Impala SS (full size caprice one).

Re: Help me and all first time sport car buyers

im not a big fan of the hatchbacks
lol i went to look at the tiburon, i testdrove one with something like 80 miles on it and it had weels out of alinment, a brake smell, and the handles felt like they were going to fall off. might of just been a lemon but still kinda turned me off it lol

Honestly im using the car to get to school and work, and the races with a couple friends on empty roads to prove superioriority haha, they have a lexus es300 and i think the other is going to get a 02 nissan altima.

would an accord coupe with a CAI and maby an exaust be able to keep up and still be reliable and safe, or are there better options, thats pretty much exactly what im going to be using the car for

Re: Help me and all first time sport car buyers

That newer accord coupe with a 6 speed looks really sweet. May keep up with those rides. It's just an accord though.

If you want performance and safety, you may want to consider a Saab, perhaps the 9-3 or maybe even the 9-5 if you really can afford one. For the newer 9-3s, different trim levels have different turbos with different amounts of performance, which is cool, and I believe they are interchangeable between models so you can upgrade them if you want. I'm against turbocharged cars and first time drivers, but these cars will give you what you want much better than an Accord. The first turbo car i've driven in my life was a 9-3 turbo hatchback/wagon and it was exhilarating. Just a blast to drive. They are pretty reliable, there's more things to watch out for it seems on 2000 and after plus those are the cars to get for performance. And they are sort-of foreign cars (expensive labor and higher priced parts). Its a swedish make, but owned by GM , hard to classify nowadays. Bottom line is that Saabs are fast and they are known for safety, on par with European if not better.
