Exclamation for real mechanics

ok i have a 98 ford explorer that was vandelised first all the oil was drained put more oil in it and drove it home now it wont crank all it does is turn over checked the spark it still has spark then i checked fuel pressure good pressure but i found alot of water in the gas tank so i dropped the tank dried all the water out of it and ran a bottle of heat trough the lines to dry any water in the lines but it still only turnsover then i checked compression low compression in the first two cylinders could water have scorched the piston or is it something else

Did you try putting a bit of oil in the cylinders, then checking the compression again?

Maybe the rings got washed down, the bit of oil will help them seal a bit (possibly) for the compression test.
