drives fine until the motor has warmed up then when you come to a stop it shuts off and the only way to get it going again is either let it cool off or crank it up and put it in low gear what is causing this

Sounds like it might be your TCC there should be a four pin connector in the front of your transmission. Mine is green in color. Try unpluging it and then go for a drive, sometimes they get boggered up for some reason I cant plug mine in. It will do the same thing.

I hate the idiots who just say to unplug it. Its seriously a 15 minute fix, cost about $30, and will actually allow you to have a third gear. The above solution will prevent the final drive ratio. I've listed instructions and links to pictures before. Search.
