oka so i have friends that love the honda's

and really r trying to convince me into selling my gs

so i could get a honda cuz they say that eclipse's dont move and there oppsessed wit gsr's, hatches, and so on

so i wanna know the truth

do u think i should sell the gs or try working wit it or just go look for maybe a gst gsx or some honda

Yeah dude, for real. Why would you mess around with a NA FWD when a turbo car is available, particularly one with AWD? $1500 well spend dollars on a GSX will destroy just about whatever you could do with any reasonable amount of money and a hatch, GSR, etc.

Basically 4g63 > 420a, B16, B18.

BUT.... if you don't want to sell the car or go with a GSX or whatnot, 420 > B16. You can do lots to all the motors. It's just a matter of what you want to do. Sure, Hondas could have potential, but I 1) hate Hondas, 2) will never be seen driving a Honda, and 3) love Talons. It's all your choice on what you want to do. I love driving around in the Talon and watch these little Honda lovers come up to me revving, and then I blow their doors off.

Damn, I've yet to race anyone with the new head in yet. Sad.

so do u think if i do put some money into my car i could make it move?

cuz a lot of ppl tell me theres no point in buying headers and a catback exhaust cuz they say it wont make any improvment and thats wat i wanna know before i buy things

Well sure a catback and headeR (you only have one) and intake would help, but you'd be doing pretty good to make it to a mid 15 second quarter mile on that. If that is "making it move" to you then by all means go for it. To me however, that is sad. You'll still be getting burned by almost everyone, you will just have a loud farty exhaust sound while you're doing it. Its all about what you want though homie.

Stock Honda Civics are slow as shit. Stock 420a has more power, but is heavier than some Hondas (espc. the hatches). Both have potential.

Both are going to cost money to get up to speed. Sure, you can buy b16s or whatever putting down some fat power... BUT you can do that with almost any car. There are companies that build 420a motors putting down fat power.

You have a sexy car in your signature. The thing you need to do is sit there and look at her and figure if you want her or some Honda.

EDIT: And on a side note, I just wanted my car to be able to toy with the Civic SIs. I've done that and more. The best is having these guys pull up and wanting to go and I just sit there quietly. We take off at the light and I've got them right off the bat. When I win, they like "turbo" or "I didn't hear a turbo" and I tell them I don't have one. They almost cry. I've beat stock to near stock GSTs numerous times. It all depends on what you do with it, and how you do it.

OR a GSX. I'm still saying man, that would be the way to. You could buy and mod a 1g AWD DSM for cheaper than getting your GS really fast. Please don't get a Honda. I have a 95 civic dx but I use it for a daily driver only. Yeah It has an APC intake and ricepipe, so hilarious, but I still don't go around trying to race everybody with it.: The mentality that Honda drivers have is sooo Retarted, and gay Seriously. The ricer clubs in my town piss me off so bad. Its so frustrating. Honda drivers dont know what fast cars are. Every civic, prelude, del sol, accord, etc. thinks they can outrun my turbo eclipse. I laugh in their faces, and talk pure shit to them. I can't drive my eclipse to walmart without having atleast 5 shitty ass, spray painted, body kit falling off, loud ass rice pipe equipped honda revving at me. ITS SOO STUPID! Seriously all the ricers need to just die. It pisses me off to even think about it. Hondas are the reason that people have little respect for imports.

Don't get me wrong, not all Honda drivers are stupid. Theres still that 1% in there that know what they are talking about.

I can't express my frustration... *hangs head and walks away*

I mean why would you want a honda when you got an eclipse? It you dont want to spend a kagillion dollars making yours fast just sell it for a GST/GSX. Then see what those honda retards think...

i smoked a turbo b16 like NOTHING back when i had my stock T25 turbo... just get a turbo model... its SO worth the switch, i had a GS back in the day, and i did I/H/E (intake/ Header/ Exhaust) and it made decent power next to almost any Honda, but that was about it... everything else smoked me! even my moms Olds... so that was a no go... i sold it and got my GST... right off the bat, i smoked my moms Olds... by 5+ cars... and as it sits now, it takes my dads stillen supercharged G35 coupe... and SRT-8's on almost a daily basis... no C/W problems, no nothing! my car runs just fine EVERYDAY! just take care of her, and dont beat on her... this was tough to me by a very wise man after i destroyed his Vette in a 40 roll race...
