static cut out
i have a brand new sony deck and new phoenix gold components. and im getting alot of static and its cutting out on one side. the speakers arent wired into the factory harness anymore i ran slightly larger cable in. until the day before i switched my speakers i hadnt had a problem but recently i have been and im wondering what might cause this or if im jsut going crazy.

Maybe a loose connection on your speakers? Check for a tight and fit and that there's no corrosion.

its all brand new no corrosion. but i think it might be the connectors possible but im not sure they all seem snug.

Maybe the speakers themselves? Try switching back to your old ones just to rule out any other possibilities.

These are 6.5's? 6x9s? What prompted the switch to larger cables?
