Hit brake, turn signal lights up???
I have a 99 plymouth neon, SOHC. Sometimes when I hit the brake, the left turn signal on the dash lights up solid and goes out when I left off of the brake. Please let me know what you think it is. Thanks in advance.

Re: Hit brake, turn signal lights up???
Is this something that only happens now and then? When it happens, with your foot on the brake, do both rear filaments come on equally bright, and none of the bulbs in the front light up? Im guessing at either a bad ground for one of the tailight assemblies, or a connection messed up inside the top of the steering column - where I think the wiring for the brake and the turn signals meet at that 'multi-function-switch'. A flake of loose metal across the wrong contacts for instance....

Re: Hit brake, turn signal lights up???
It's common on the neon. The release button is stuck and will continue to do it. Replace the multi-function switch (3 or 4 screws) and be done with it.
