Help!!!!guages!!!!!

does anyone know how to take the guages out of the aveo? i want to add blue l.e.d.s to light up the guages instead of that greenish nasty glow it has at night. i was just wondering if anyone has had to take out their guages and if they did, could they tell me how so i dont reck my dash. thanks, any help would be great!

That sounds cool I did this on my coupe that i had before the Aveo and it was straigh forward but time consuming and i ended up scratching some stuff. I think you have to start fromt he bottom and un screw everything, take the trims out around the radio and pop the dash out and unscres the gages and the bulbs are sitting in sockets and there is a colored filter and must be green in this case, you can just change that using colored film, i don't know if the leds would work, you have to wire them and get them electricity or replace them with the bulbs already in there. hope this helps. post some pics if you do this.

actually i had forgotten that i posted here for this. i got in contact with a member on another forum and he directed me to a how-to on it. its really easy and doesnt involve any trim around the radio. first i tried blue but it turned out more turquoise so then i went with red and it looks pretty cool. makes it feel more sporty. heres the link: its got pics and everything. i will takes eventually. just waitin to get a short shifter then i will postnew pics.
