mass air flow sensor
hi guys. i have a 99 jimmy/blazer with a bad mass air flow sensor. i was wondering if i could drive it for a week or so with the sensor unplugged. i took it for a test drive around the block with it unplugged and it accelerated great. what bad can happen if i drive around with it unplugged?

The air fuel mix will get messed with, it may run extremely rich. Keep the plug clean, wrapping it with some type of plastic, to save yourself from corrosion problems in the future. With the rich running, it may be hard on the O2 sensors and the catalytic converter, but as long as it's kept short term, no permanent damage should occur. Keep a watch here for other posts as others may have different thoughts.....
