Clutch doesnt release after a few mins
Hey guys,
I've got an '85 Chevy K10. 4-spd manual transmission. About 3 months ago I replaced the slave cylinder and it functioned fine. Now my problem is that the clutch wont release, completely, after a few mins of use. I've blead the system several times; I'm just not sure what to do now. I have noticed that when the clutch does work it engauges with the pedal just off the floor (about 3"). The clutch slowly gets worse from there becomming spongy up to the point where it wont release or go into gears smoothly. Any help you guys could provide would be appreciated. Re: Clutch doesnt release after a few mins
Could there be something wrong with the master cylinder even if it doesnt leak?

Re: Clutch doesnt release after a few mins
There is a recent thread were a guy changed his slave cylinder and had all kind of problems. Ended up putting an AC Delco cylinder in and fixed it. MT was invovled in that thread. Maybe he will remember.

Re: Clutch doesnt release after a few mins
It can leak internally, which cuts dwn on the fluid be pumped to the slave cylinder. It's like pushing half way on a good clutch.
