my newest custom built turbo bike

Just got her together and running today. Been working on it off and on for the last 4 months. This was a build for a friend, very simular to my ZRX that has been turbo'd for some time.

Its a T28 turbo off of a australian car, modified intercooler off of a VW passat, and I added custom low CR forged pistons, stiffer valve springs, custom ignition with boost retard and a 6 speed tranny.

Its stock bore (1164cc) but even so rev's to 11K RPM's and hits full boost (16psi) by 5500 RPM's. Should be around 260hp to the rear wheel......on pump gas

she wheelies in any gear, nearly uncontrollably....a sure sign that she ALMOST has enough power.....for a street bike

The final touch is the twin carbon fiber exhaust cans....will have that done that done this weekend

We are sure interested, but "speechless" It looks great (maybe pass for a sleeper to someone like me who doesn't know bikes)

I gotta wonder about those who want 260 hp to 1 rear wheel. I thought I was bad with cars/trucks.

How about going over some specs like boost, temps and speed potential. I take it the blower system is all custom? is the turbo underneath the bike?

I haven't taken temp readings, so can't comment on that.

Boost will eventually be set to 8psi low, and 16psi high, using a dual boost switch. Currently I'm running around 13psi

As for applying the power to the ground, it is very wheelie prone, but with 6 inches extension on the rear swingarm, you can apply all of the power to the ground for most gears. Bikes definitely handle extremely high power to weight ratios better than cars do (as far as necessary setup).....with a little suspension work and the extended swingarm, this would be a low 9 second 1/4 mile bike, but as it sits, it would be hampered with wheelies and wouldn't be able to use full throttle until 6th gear. Top speed capability....well, its not a very areodynamic bike....probably around 180 or 190 mph.

If you black anodised the intercooler and pipe, you'd have to know the bike to spot it.

I built this bike for someone else....I leave it up to him to paint it or whatnot.....

I would have painted it black if I was making it for myself.....but now that its built and I've been looking at it with the raw aluminum.....It does look pretty good. A little polish and it would really shine. Lot of work though. I hate polishing

I stopped trying for the sleeper thing, personally, a while a go. I came to the conclusion years ago that 99% of the people you'll run into have no idea what they are looking at anyway, so its not worth the effort. Besides....I like to show off my work

I like it! Im more of a car guy but this is a nice bike. But i dont think this would be a fun one to learn how to ride on
