no clutch pedal !!

ok ive been trying to figure this out , i have a 90 talon tsi . the clutch pedal is real easy to push and it wont return up, it just sits at the floor, i thought it was the slave cylinder so i replaced it and that was not it, i dont see any leeking around the master or anywhere else, could it be the release bearing(throw out bearing?) in the tranie? any ideas guys? thanks

It could possibly be the adjustment rod on master cylinder. Try adjusting the rod in or out and make sure you pump the clutch a few times after each adjustment. Other than that it could be a bent clutch fork.

thanks thats worth a try. when i was bleeding out the slave cylinder it looked like it had quite a bit of movement. in the worst case how hard is it to pull the tranies out of these cars (90 tsi 5 speed)? u done have to drop the cradle and all that do ya? it looks like it might be able to slide out the bottom after i take out a cross member . thanks again ill be able to mess with it some tuesday if its not 100+ out side

It really sounds to me like a master cylinder problem first. If that isnt it then you can pull the tranny. Its pretty easy to do, once you get under the car youll see exactley how it comes off. Def check the clutch fork though, after I replaced mine it made a world of a difference. If i were you I would keep searching on this forum to find a solution to your problem and if you cant find anything on here try DSMTuners.com.

thanks for the help.. if it were a master problem, wouldent i be loosing fluid internaly? i did get to mess with it a little i had my girl lift up the clutch pedal and push it down as i was watching the clutch fluid with the cap off and it did come up some but it did not shoot up and out. ill check out this site and the one u gave me befor i ask any more dumb questions lol..thanks

No, it usually leaks on th inside of the vehicle where the master cylinder rod comes through the firewall. Just look at the firewall by the clutch pedal and if you see any fluid at all thats a good sign that you need to replace the master cylinder.

ok. i was messin with the car today and i saw that someone had glued together 5 pennys to the bump stop on the front side(tward the driver) of the clutch pedal? im guessing so it would hit the push button thats right there? but y? and i did not see any fluid comming throuh the fire wall at the master. this hole thing is confusing the he** outa me? if i pull the clutch pedal up all the way where it is spoust to be and go to push it down..(im looking under the dash whail im doin this) i dont see any thing else moveing till i get about 3/4's of the way down, then i see stuff start to move and the rod moveing into the clutch master.
