can I change the Trans?
Can I change an automatic transmission to a manual? I was looking on some sites and I see a kit but it only has a couple parts, what do I need to make the swap?

Re: can I change the Trans?
You need the pedal assembly from a manual car, the manual ecu for that engine,
the clutch cable and of course a transmission and clutch assembly. You will also need various tools to cut and work the area to install the shifter, and youll need some small pieces of wire to finish the job in the center console..

Re: can I change the Trans?
Nah you probably don't have to cut much of nothing, my friend and I took his 98 civic dx auto non-vtec and converted it to manual v-tec in two days, I would highly suggest you buying a full pedal assmebly. we only added the clutch pedal, and the clutch pedal and brake pedal were mad close to each other lol his retarded cheap ideal.. loads of fun man if I and a 16 year old wanna be g-unit can pull it off I'm sure you can to man! Best of luck

Re: can I change the Trans?
as far as the interior goes, to make it look right, you need the console trim, the brake/clutch pedal assy.. (it unbolts from the firewall as one piece), and that's about it... other than that, you need the basic crap, and a new trans mount for a manual vehicle.
