Question About New Exhaust for 94 Metro

Hi,
It is time to replace my exhaust system on my 94 Metro. I recall discussions in the past out here about going to a high flow exhaust, or something to that affect, which will help increase mpg, and also be better for the engine. However, I don't recall what the recommendations were. Would anyone care to tackle this question and help me out? If you can provide some information on just what parts to use, that would be helpful as well to pass onto whomever I purchase from.
Thanks

I am interested in knowing too since I think my Catalytic converter is going to need replacing soon. Cats on Metros have a lot to do with gas mileage.

Wink Re: Question About New Exhaust for 94 Metro

As 'preventative maintenance,' does anyone out there with a high mileage Geo
replace the catalytic converter and/or oxygen at regular intervals of (say)
75K or 100K or whatever?

Or do you just wait until there are symptoms such as failing a state emissions test?
