Running Day Lights & Auto Headlights
1997 Grand Am 3.1L V6
101,100 miles This is by far no major problem. But my Grand Am has running Day lights. It's not the headlights, rather it looks as though when I put it in drive or reverse the highbeam lights turn on. And whenever the outside lighting reaches a certain point, the highs will turn off and the headlights will automaticly turn on. I don't mind the running day lights, but is there anyway I can stop the auto headlights from turning on? Sometimes they turn on in the middle of the day when it's totally bright outside, and they wont turn off until I turn off the car. Like I said, its no major problem, but I would like to have some control of when my headlights are on. I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th And Thanks All |

However If I'm not mistaken the the daytime running lights on the 96-98 g/a's used the highbeams at a lower voltage. for controlling the headlights you can only turn them on manually.
