what to do...

Just a quick question, but if I were to purchase 18 in. rims and put them on my lude(base modle 98), could i get lowering springs for it or wouldnt they be able to fit? I wanted to know because its goin into storage here in a bit and I was going to get rims by next spring so if I have soem extra money around here I could get some springs. Please anwser this one! Thanks alot

Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention, how far of a drop(if any) could I have with 18 inch rims and all stock shocks and ect. Thanks again

IT is not all in the rim diameter that you need to look at. You must also get them with the correct Offset. Stock rims are at +55 and many aftermarket ones will be between +40 at +48. If you go with a 17" x7" +45 that is a good choice and the same width will also be fine at that offset in an 18".
Next is tire size. When you go larger in diameter-there is the PLUS sizing chart that will tell you the correct tire versus the stock size.
As to lowering-the safe amount for most daily driving is with Neuspeed Sport springs which will drop you 1.7" in front and 1.5" in the rear. There will be a slight and easily fixed rub due to a nub you cut off the inner edge of the rear bumper cover near the bolt that holds it on the body.
Some people may disagree with me on this one-but I have a full setup for street and road race and no issues now-even with Camber kits on all 4 corners.
