Are Callaway vettes real vettes?

The body appearance looks very different from normal corvettes. Are they really 'vettes to begin with?

Callaway still does build-up's on C5 and C4 Vettes. If you mean the Callaway C12, yea it's a Vette in spirit. About the frame, and the roof panel the only pieces left untouched, not sure what the interior looks like, never seen it. But it's still a Vette.

Yes, they all start out as regular Vettes. In fact, from 87 to 91 you could order a Callaway Twin Turbo with your new Vette as option B2K. These guys would be happy to fill you in on all of the details.
