confused
Well i have an 1987 bmw 325 and i am wondering if it is an m3 or an e30 or something like that because i am confused. If its none of those can someone explain to me the differences between each one and what makes them so specific?

e30 is the bodytype of the car. Whether or not it is M powered is a different question, it should also be obvious. Share a few pics of your car/engine and people can tell you right away what your car is.

Your car is an E30, and not an M3.
E21, E30, E36, E46, and E90 refer to different generations of BMW 3-series. A quick google search or wikipedia search will give you more data on model specifics. M3s are higher performance cars based on the 3-series platform. They generally have stronger engines, less weight, stiffer suspensions, and some styling differences. This is what the E30 generation M3 looks like. The major styling differences are the rear wing, wider rear fenders, a slightly different front end, and different wheels.
