1998 Ford Explorer Window lock
My husband has been battling with his 1998 Ford Explorers windows. It seems that the driver is the only one who can operate them. It started where sometimes the passengers could use their own windows however now only the driver. He took the door panel off today and cleaned the connections and it still doesn't work. It seems as if the lock windows is constantly on even though he has turned it off. Any suggestions on what to do.

Re: 1998 Ford Explorer Window lock
Hello. Have him disconnect the window lock switch and use a jumper wire to see if the windows work from the passenger switches. If yes, replace the switch. If no, he needs to check foor current to the switch on the light blue and black wire that goes to the switch. Good luck and let us know.
