Re: 2001 Blazer service 4WD light on

When the service 4x4 light comes on their is a problem in the system. It can be the Module, or the transfer case shift motor usually giving you that light. It is usually the module but I have read in various posts other ways to somehow bring the system back to life. Disconnecting the battery for awhile to reset the module is sometimes a way to reset it. If that doesn't work and the light comes right back on It might be the transfer case motor stuck. Hope this helps. If all else fails the dealer has specific testers to tell which component is at fault. I just replaced my Module for the same reason.

Can you tell me about how much the Module might cost?
Thanks in advance
