misc. problems

Ok so these are all just minor problems that has been bothering me. First, alot of times when I go to start the car, i turn the key and the starter just clicks, I have to try 5-10 times before it will crank, but it always starts, sometimes it starts right away. Another thing, not a big problem but its annoying, when I turn the parklights on about half the time my headlights flip up, but dont turn on. Is that something in the switch? Last but not least, the hatch seems to rattle, or something back there does, when I go over bumbs it sorta sounds like a lumberwagon. Is there anyway I can fix that?

Re: misc. problems

Problem 1: click click click. Your starter sounds like a punk.
Problem 2: Yes its a switch problem. The lights should turn on no matter what the headlight motors do, up down sideways ect the lights should turn on.
problem 3: Hatch rattle. Sounds like the seal has seen better days. Its possible new seal = no noises. The hatch could be out of adjustment since it was wrecked. MY 87 had an electric motor that pulled the hatch down tight to keep it from making noise, a feature that my 82 doesnt have. Mine rattles when i go offroad at the lake, i just turn up the radio so i dont hear it. Adding 10 pounds to the back of my car just so it doesnt rattle is not an option (thank you very much!)

Re: misc. problems

#1 sounds like the starter solenoid is going south.
#2 is either the switch or the headlight module (big $$ there)
#3 check your spare tire and jack, they may have come loose a bit.

Re: misc. problems

The rattle could also be exhaust.
