EGR Valve/Hose

My 2000 GT failed emission, apparently the guy who owned it before plugged the EGR valve. From what I can understand all I need is the right hose and I should be able to pull the plug and connect the hose and be good to go. Assuming I can find this hose and the fittings, where does the damn thing connect to? The headers? Back of the head? Cats? Ive tried looking online and can't find anything.
