91 Lumina 3.4 engine Engine Shut Down at Intersection
hi thursday i was driving and couple times it sputtered then when i parked car wouldnt start but i floored it and it started back up drove some more and cam to intersection while waiting for the light it stalled so i tried again the flooring it it started so figured i good to go but then when light turned green i was 2 feeting it to drive when i put in gear it shut down and i couldnt get it going since then
i did try a trick i did before spray starter fluid in the intake but it didnt work, and yes i got gas pressuire as i smell the gas come through the muffler so what could it be? would it be just the cam shaft sensor? i even tried exchanging the computer but nothing wrong with the computer. cuz it doesnt fire at all not even on any cylinders. |

Re: 91 Lumina 3.4 engine Engine Shut Down at Intersection
also with my last lumina i have i guess it was crank shaft sensor but in end cost me $900 bucks for it as they did plug wires and module etc
but for crank sensor they told me they had to drop oil pan and we all know how long that takes well they say they have to do that cuz usually the sensor magnet breaks off in engine is that true? and if so its a magnet ill will stick to bottom so if i try changing sensor is it gonna be broken off or what not? and whats the best way to replace it |
