air conditioning parts
97 Jimmy
Well, I've got a massive leak from the belly of the compressor. Looks like I'll be replacing the compressor, orifice tube, and accumulator. I think I'm gonna tackle it myself. any advice on parts? brands? where to buy? should I buy another HT6 or something else? do stores rent vacuum pumps? any tips on flushing? solvent recommendations? methods? flush gun? any advice would be appreciated. Thanks |

Re: air conditioning parts
A lot of parts places now handle new compressors.
Stay away from Murry and cheap rebuilt stuff. Not sure on the rental stuff but check around. AZ has a lot of loaner/rental tools. Here is some stuff you might need. http://www.ackits.com/merchant.mvc?S...egory_Code=DIY If system is clean and compressor has not blowed you may not need flush. But if a lot of oil has leaked out of system a flush may be good to get the rest of oil out and the correct amount in. But for flush info ACkits.com has a lot of info and parts to. Good Luck MT
