Cant get key out! help!!!

i have a 95 metro with a 1.3, 5 speed tranny. cant get the key to go into the off position. read a thread on an key problem with automatic tranny. he pushed the shifter forward an was able to remove the key. please help. thanks everyone!runaround

Does it help to reposition (turn) the wheel (while the key is in the ON position) and then try to get it into the OFF position?

I did read that messing w/ the shifter will help sometimes.

easy fix mines been doing it since purchase a few years ago, only happens a few times a week so dont worry. open the steering column and press in the litle skrew looking thing on the ignition and pull out the key too easy huh.
