Define Rice.

hey guys,

I'm just wondering if there is an exact meaning to 'Rice" .

I ma under the impression it means anything fixed up and doesn't look clean. you know the big wing and all the lpurty lights heh

but to most people it means like, just fixing up your cars, and if it happens to be an import it's rice. So does that mean I'm a rice boy? In the end.. are we all rice boy/girls!? AHHH who cares... i'm confused,

but i still want to know what you guys think when you hear rice.

see ya gang

rice to me is putting anything on your car that really does not have a good function or make the car look better. for instance led washer lights....absolutely no good function except to attract cops and they really don't look that good. plus you can put them on any car. rice is also advertising on your car for things that you don't have. ....such as putting a nitto sticker on the side when you are running on 13" phaser tires from bob's used tires. stuff like that is rice to me.

Rice to me refers to anything that goes onto a japanese made car. ANYTHING, like CARBON FIBER HOODS THAT AREN"T PAINTED, fart can mufflers, crazy wings, exhaust parts scraping the ground cause the car is too low, etc...yes american cars have this stuff too but it is like an infectuous epidemic for import lovers.( Yes, I love my import but it will never be "ricey" other that the fact it's manufacturers headquarters is in Japan land.

for me, rice is doing anything to your car that has no real purpose (no performance gain, no aesthetic appeal, etc). This rules out things like led's, fart cans, shiny chrome 13" hubcaps. I can understand how Kris90LXBADA$$ thinks carbon fiber hoods are rice, but IMO they look nice and have a practical use of lightening the car, so theyre fine in my book

Yo man you just won't let that shit go will you. I haven't said anything lately about you bitching about my carbon fiber needs to be painted. It's looks stupid man, why would I paint that shit. You talk about somebody being childish and young.....Dawg look at you, you can't even drop this pointless ass debate. You need to start showing some kind of maturity here and just drop this bullshit. I don't care what you think of the car, the hood isn't getting painted. So you can keep saying whatever you feel you need to, and you know what....nothing's gonna happen. You claim your so damn different with your car, for like the third time.....let us see what you got and let us all know what we need to do so that we won't BE FOLLOWING THE CROWD.

On insurance, have you tried AAA? I am not sure how they handle people w/accidents, but they lowered my insurance by half when I switched to them a few years ago. I was 25 then, w/no accidents. A guy at work is 22, and only been driving for about 6 months, I mean, he's only had a license for 6 months! He went w/AAA, and it was the cheapest.

Uhh..no comment on the Timberlake thing, but as for insurance I go with Progressive.com. I started with them when I moved to North Carolina, I was 24. At the time I had 2 points on a NY License for a speeding ticket, and I had a non-fault accident. I was driving a 94 Dodge Dakota Sport, and I had collision on it and paid just over $1000 per year! While I was on that policy I backed into a Mustang in a parking lot when I was helping a friend move and had the truck full of furniture so I couldn't see. The truck wasn't bad so I didn't have them fix it, but the Mustang needed new front clip and hood. The insurance people were so professional, they went and did an estimate for the Mustang owner right at her workplace and I never heard another word about it! I don't know if my rates would have gone up because before that policy ended I got my 88 S12 and went with just liablility, so they went down some. My policy just renewed, still carrying just liability on my 200SX, but I turned 25 last December and now my insurance is $66 per month.

my buddy just got an 03 specV, and he went w/survivor. He is 22, and only been licensed for about 7 months now. He pays about $193 a month for full coverage.
