98 aurora ac just blows hot air

Hello,

I have a couple of questions-

First my ac does nothing but blow hot air. Looked into it some and the compressor clutch never engages. However, if I pull the relay and jump the terminals manually the clutch will engage.

Second, and maybe related, the radiator fans do NOT come on when the AC is turned on. My take on this is that they are supposed to come on whenever the AC is on.

Third, the radiator fans do work, but will not turn on high and not even on low until the engine temp nears 240, so the car gets really close to overheating in the summer temps.

Per some reading on this site, if I disconnect the coolant level sensor on the bottom of the res. the fans come on high and stay on. Temp drops way down to about 220.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,
