3rd gear high rpm gear grinding

First of all I apoligize if this topic has already been covered, however I'm new to the site. I purchased my second stang about a 3 weeks ago and love it. Its an 5-speed '02 conver. gt w/ approx. 35k miles. The issue at hand is my transmission. I've only just realized this problem about a week ago when the weather was relatively hot. I was really given the stang some power in the upper rpm range when I went to shift into third and heard a grrrrrind. Since then whenever downshifting into third or shifting in the high rpm range 3500+ I receive this grinding. I had a good idea that it was the third gear synchros, until I went out to drive it today. I proceeded to give it some power and shifted into third and what do you know no grinding. Its been much cooler lately, does this have anything to do w/ it? Fluid temp maybe? I'm only inquiring because I have an appt. to drop off my car this upcoming monday and want to be sure something is wrong. I told them about the grinding and the TSB that is out, and they seemed pretty responsive. Basically my question is, is there definately something wrong due to the repetetive grinding i was receiving?
