94 Town & Country Anti-Lock Brakes

1st....I tried to get into the Town & Country Forum and I was brought here to Dodge Caravan/Voyager Forum...

2nd: I have a 94 T&C. Anti-Lock brakes fail and the ABS light comes on and then I have what appears to be a standard brakes.
When applying brakes (prior to ABS light coming on) the brakes "jump, clatter, squeel, and then they will "catch"". The when the ABS light comes on, I assume that the ABS is disengaged and I am able to stop.
Why is it doing this? What can I do to fix OR how can IO shut down the ABS so it is disengaged permantly?
