car suggestions needed

hello i'm 19 yrs old and i was looking to get a new car. I don't really have any type in mind yet. I just was looking for a decently fast car thats reliable. and I'm not exactly looking for a really nice car just a decently fast one that i can drive year round. So 4wd would be a good option because i live in Indiana and it snows here in the winter. Also just because 4wd would be pretty sweet to have the extra handeling. My price range can go up to about 10k but i would prefer to spend more around 7. I was just wondering if i could get some input from you guys, because i'm sure a lot of you know tons more about cars than i do. Thanks
